Welcome! I am an assistant professor of health and social policy (with tenure track) at the Department of Health Sciences and Medicine at the University of Lucerne. I am also a Faculty member of the Swiss School of Public Health SSPH+ and an associate member of Nuffield College and the Institute for New Economic Thinking at the University of Oxford.

I obtained a PhD in political science from the University of Bern (2018). Before coming to Lucerne, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, INET Oxford, and Nuffield College at the University of Oxford (2018-2021) and an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University (2021-2022). My research focuses on topics related to comparative social policy in advanced democracies. Specifically, I am interested in the political determinants and consequences of socio-economic inequality, social policy preferences, and electoral behaviour. I teach courses on health and social policy, health inequality, and Swiss health policy.
